The Revelation Dovetail Mount is a mounting saddle plate which takes all telescopes and other equipment which come with standard Vixen/Synta dovetail bars. This mount comes with a large, easily operated, knurled main clamping bolt and smaller safety bolt, designed to prevent accidental slippage, when adjusting the balance or seating of a bar.
The Revelation Dovetail Mount comes with four 1/4" Whitworth (UNC) profile tapped boltholes, which allows the mount to be easily bolted to larger dovetails, such as the popular Revelation VW-46, VW-47 and VW-48. This allows the user the abiltiy to use two (or more) of the Revelation Dovetail Mounts as seating for telescopes and other equipment in parallel to each other. This is particularly useful for mouning telescopes and autoguiders for imaging purposes.
There are an additional two 6.5mm non-threaded countersunk bolt holes (9mm countersink width/10mm countersunk depth), which would allow the use of M8 bolts to attach the Revelation Dovetail Mount to other dovetails or mount heads.
