If you're looking for a telescope that's a cut above the regular beginner's scope, but still offers the ease of use of a true "grab and go" setup, then take a look at the BRESSER MESSIER AR-90/900 NANO AZ TELESCOPE. At f/10, this telescope offers an efficient path to planetary magnifications without having to resort to really high power and difficult to use ultrashort focal length eyepieces. This telescope's doublet Achromatic objective lens offers very reasonable light gathering power and good colour correction, minimising chromatic aberations. The telescope is supplied with a single higher quality Bresser 26mm Super Plossl design - giving 34x magnification. The emphasis here is on quality of eyepiece, rather than quantity - with Bresser making the decision to provide one good quality eyepiece design, rather than two or three mediocre ones - which would ultimately downgrade the telescope's performance. With this in mind, it's worth budgeting for at least another extra 1.25" eyepiece for high power views. The telescope can go up to a useful practical magnification limit of 180-200x, depending on sky conditions and the placement of the target object in the sky. A 5mm eyepiece will get this telescope to 180x, which will be enough to reveal a wealth of detail on the Moon's surfaces - showing inside craters, mountain ranges and fantastic contrast around the terminator. At this power, the user will see Saturn's rings clearly displayed and Jupiter's northern and southern equatorial belts and Great Red Spot is well within reach.
The telescope can easily be mounted and de-mounted using the industry standard Vixen profile dovetial attached to a clamshell ring. This makes for an easy upgrade path in the future if the user wishes to remount the tube on a more complicated mount.
A supplied 6x30 finderscope will allow for accurate centring of objects (once aligned to the main optical axis of the telescope)

The mount is as easy to use as a photo tripod, it is just more stable and easily carries telescopes weighing up to 4 kg. The mount can be easily swiveled by hand to the left, right, up and down, making it really easy to use and with a weight of only 3.4kg, the mount is also easy to transport. Ideal for the easy entry, as a travel mount or for quick observations. The telescopes are securely held by a clamp for 44mm prism rails, the so-called GP Level. This is an international manufacturer-independent standard, whereby all telescopes with such a GP prism rail can be installed on this mount. The sturdy and height-adjustable stainless steel tripod included in the scope of delivery is the ideal base for the BRESSER NANO AZ mount.
